Savannah {16 days} | Jacksonville Florida Newborn Photographer

Savannah is the first great grand baby to a dear friend of my mom’s.  It just happened to work out for me to photograph her during a recent trip to Jacksonville. In an effort to not bring as much stuff I decided to do the shoot outside… a first for me.  A relative of theirs lives on an amazing piece of waterfront property and it couldn’t have been more perfect.  I am so thrilled with so many of these images.  We even did something a little untraditional.  The owner of the house is a big hunter so there were animal ‘trophies’ all over the house.  When I saw the bear skin rug I knew I had to use it as a prop.  When will I have the chance to do that again?!

I love all of these! Adorable headband in that first shot.

Luke {8 days} | Lake Nona Florida Newborn Photographer

This little peanut came in at 8 days new.  I imagined he would be a chunker since he born on his due date, but once I saw his momma I quickly understood why he was only 6 pounds.  She looked AMAZING at 8 days post partum.  Even with an extra set of hands (a big thank you to my friend, Lisa!) this little guy was tough.  He wanted to sleep, but not in the positions I wanted him to.  With a little patience we were able to get a good selection of images.

Lucky In Love | Central Florida Photographer

I know I’ve said it once this year already, but I really have no desire to be a wedding photographer.  Somehow, this year I’ve photographed two wedding events.  I guess that’s what you do when you love your family :).  My oldest nephew eloped last August.  Not a single person was there.  So, a reception party was definitely a must.  The date was set for St. Patrick’s Day.  It was a gorgeous backyard event and so much fun.  Such a great party full of live music and fabulous dance moves.  I’m so happy for you both!

This picture is from the actual elopement.  This is a Willow Tree frame that I am now selling.  This was my wedding gift to them.

The outtakes of getting this picture are hilarious…. and a tad scary!

Impromptu | Family Session

This was a very impromptu backyard whirlwind session.  I was visiting friends in Jacksonville during Spring Break.  The kids and I had gone over for dinner and to deliver a Willow Tree frame she purchased from me.  I had mentioned that she needed a current picture for that frame and told her we could take one in the backyard really quick.  It was already after 7:00, the sun was setting, and I had to leave soon.  They ran around and put on coordinating clothes and I worked as fast as I could.  The last picture in this post will give you an idea of what I was working with.  I’m still laughing just thinking about it.
