Sweet Hayden. Little Christmas baby. She was barely a 6 pound newborn the last time I photographed her. She came back for her 1 year portraits and we did a cake smash at the end. We themed it around her ladybug birthday party and it came out so cute! She was so smiley at the beginning of her session and then when it cake time for cake she wasn’t sure what to do. She wasn’t a fan of the icing, but when I busted open the cake she was all in and LOVED the cake part.
I am so, so grateful to Shea Rose Photography for capturing these images of my family. It had been 18 months since we last had family pictures taken. I know these pictures will be treasured forever.
The next few are outtakes to a fun idea gone bad. I thought it would be fun to buy fake snow and throw it on the kids. Sounds fun, right? Yeah, it wasn’t so easy. Pretty funny tho!

I’ve known this family for almost 10 years. Our kids have played together since they were born. They’re a beautiful family and I’ve been hounding them to let me take their family pictures for years! We’ve actually been trying to do this shoot since May of this year! Well, it finally happened and I’m so glad it did. I think they are, too. Much better than the solid background, stiff posed pictures at the mall studio, right?!
This girl is definitely a product of how far I’ve come in two years. She was my very first official newborn client. Let’s just say my newborn photography has improved a bit in the last two years. I know her momma loves those pictures, but boy do I cringe a bit when I look at them. Anywho! We decided to have some fun with Iris for her birthday shoot. We let her lead the way and ended up capturing just how happy and carefree she is. We ended the session with a little treat. This girl LOVES M&Ms! Love this session. So happy to hear that momma printed a book since there were so many pictures to choose from.
This is my gorgeous cousin-in-law and she’s expecting her first baby, a girl. I know the last month or so of pregnancy can be tough, but I hope these pictures make her feel beautiful and help her remember the miracle of this baby and how worth it it all was once she’s holding her in her arms. I know their newborn session is going to be a blast. Cannot wait!
