It’s such a pleasure to photograph this beautiful girl. She knows me so she’s usually full of personality, but on this morning she was pretty stoic. We had to be pretty crazy to get her to crack a smile. That somber look works in some photos, but I know mamas always wants some smiles. No matter what she is just so pretty. This is a bit of an over share because this sweet boy is so precious and he and his parents have already been through so much. His parents tried so hard to have him and after three rounds of IVF their dream finally came true. Then he was born a seemly healthy boy, but within hours he had to have surgery. He handled it like a champ and came home less than 2 weeks later with a battle scar and his parents with a few more gray hairs. He was an angel for his session and I just adore so many of them. Both parents are teachers so you’ll see a setup themed around that and mom brought the cute bumble bee props. Mom wanted to do some outside shots which I was more than happy to do. I love taking newborns outside. The sunset gave us some gorgeous light that evening! I had to make a collage of all of his faces at the end. He was just too much!
Such a cute little family! Well, I say little. Dad is 6’7 and mom 6’0. Baby Monroe just three months old and looking like such a big boy. This family missed having newborn pictures taken so doing a family shoot was the best thing for them. We got some pictures of just the baby and also of them enjoying him when we was little. It’s amazing the things you forget as they get older and now they don’t have to!
Winnie is the cutest little rolly polly baby ever! She’s changed so much since her newborn pictures. I love it when my newborns come back over their first year. Wesley has grown and changed so much in 4 months. He wasn’t feeling 100% during his session, but he sure did rock the cute!
