It’s so fun to watch my newborns grow. I get to see Gwen up through her first birthday. Here she is at 4 months. Love those rolls and pretty blue eyes! I can’t wait until her next session when she’ll be sitting up.
It’s beyond flattering when clients travel over an hour to have me photograph them. This session was a little different in that the daddy-to-be was really the one pushing to have these pictures taken. It makes such a huge difference when the guy is into the pictures. You can certainly tell in this session. Mama looked so beautiful in all white. She looks amazing at 35 weeks pregnant! They nailed every pose and came up with a few of their own that I just love. I normally don’t do a lot of black and white conversations, but I love this entire session in black and white as much as I love it in color. So excited to meet their little guy!

This little guy is soooo cute! He was so good for his session. I even got a few awake shots with awesome eye contact. His session was on St. Patrick’s Day and he’s half Irish (if you couldn’t tell from that awesome red hair!) so I had to get my hands on a leprechaun hat.

This pretty lady was the lucky winner of my 1000 fan Facebook giveaway! She looks amazing! I’m looking forward to meeting their baby girl in about a month or so.
This perfect baby girl belongs to a dear friend and fellow newborn photographer. Her mama decided early on in her pregnancy that she would like for me to come take newborn pictures so I traveled to Syracuse, NY shortly after she was born…..such an honor. It was so special to spend that time with them. And it snowed for me so that was a bonus :). I have to say, Evie was a difficult baby to photograph….probably my most difficult. She’s an angel baby and likes to sleep and snuggle (which I thoroughly enjoyed), but she did not want me messing with her at all. Day 1 was almost pointless, but it did produce that very first picture so I’d say all those hours were worth it. The second day was quite a bit better. We decided to heed our own instructions that we give clients and bathe her before I started. I think that might have helped. I cannot wait to see how she changes as she grows. I wish she (and her mama) didn’t live so far away!
