My Baby is 4 | Lake Nona Florida Child and Children Photographer

Peyton’s birthday shoot was a little overdue.  She turned 4 the end of August.  Yes, she’s only 4.  I know exactly what you’re thinking.  I’m in trouble! I tend to drag my feet when it comes to sessions with my own kids.  I finally decided one day that we would do the shoot that evening.  At 4pm it starts raining cats and dogs.  The radar did not look good, but finally at 6pm it was over.  We went for it even though it was wet outside and I’m so glad we did.  The setting sun was so warm and pretty.

Peyton is 4 going on 14.  She’s so beautiful, funny and full of personality (with most people).  She enjoys having her picture taken which makes it more fun for me.  She loves babies and enjoys being a little mama.  She loves school, her friends, and learning.  She is very opinionated especially when it comes to clothes and shoes.  Wearing school uniforms next year (which don’t involve pink or Hello Kitty) may throw her for a loop!  She’s a special little girl and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

Cooper {7 days} | Clermont Florida Newborn Photographer

This session was kind of a big deal to me.  It was my first repeat customer when it comes to newborns.  I photographed this little guy’s brother almost 2 years ago.  This family is British and I just love listening to them talk for a few hours.  Cooper was a champ and let us do pretty much anything we wanted.  He was the most smiley baby I’ve ever had.  I caught so many little grins.  Fun Fact:  He was born on my husband’s birthday and his last name is my husband’s first name.

Rachel & Eric | Winter Park Maternity Photographer

Loved meeting this couple.  They were so fun and up for anything….see the jumping shot!  They came with homemade props which I love.  I love a husband who is into pictures because there are definitely some that just do it for their wives.  Soon-to-be Dad is a student at this college campus which is just beautiful.  Lots of pretty areas.  Soon-to-be Mom is 33 weeks pregnant and looks amazing!  I predict they will have a tiny baby girl.  I cannot wait to meet her.  I know their newborn session will be a lot of fun.

The Hodgerson 5 Family | Adoption Photographer

This may not be the first time you’ve heard of my dear friends, The Hodgerson 5.  I’ve done two sessions with them.   You can see those pictures and read more about their emotional journey to become parents here and here.  This, however, was their first session as a family with mom and dad included.  It went like many family sessions.  It started out with mom stressed over outfits (she did great tho!) and running  a bit late (picture her answering the door with wet hair).  She spent time straightening her hair only for it to curl up in the sticky, hot Florida heat as soon as she stepped out the door.  The kids were typical kids.  They were over it after a few snaps.  Who needs that many pictures anyway, right?  But look what we captured!  Them, as a FAMILY.  Meltdowns and all!  Adoption can be a beautiful thing.  These kids were meant to be with Cory and Vanessa and have called them Mommy and Daddy from Day 1 in their new home.  Yes, there are struggles…. some like all families and some only adoption families experience.  They are doing an amazing job loving, teaching, and raising these three kids and I am honored that I get to capture that love.  Cory sent me an email after he saw these pictures and I included quotes from that email on a couple of the pictures.

Here’s the ‘real’ part of a family photo shoot.  Things don’t always go smoothly the entire shoot.  I had to assure Vanessa that this is normal.  This was her first family photo shoot experience after all.
