Baby Bliss | A Couples Baby Shower

These two soon-to-be-parents are some of my closest friends.  The journey to a baby has been a very long and emotional one.  They are doing a birth mom adoption for those wondering why she doesn’t look pregnant :).  They are so ready to be parents and this baby girl is going to be so loved!  Myself along with 2 others threw a couples shower for them.  We wanted to make it special and tried to put a lot of thought and detail into everything.  We used the colors in the baby’s nursery, purple and turquoise.  We were so happy with everything once it was all pulled together.  It was a special day and we are all so ready for baby Maggie to arrive!

The shower was not a surprise, but all of the details were.  Here is their reaction to the scene.

*The title of the invitation (Bootie Call) was so appropriate for our college friends crowd.
*We served drinks in mason jars with duct tape name tags, baker’s twine, and paper straws.
*The Guest Book was a children’s board book that everyone wrote in with a sharpie.
*We each filled out a Wishes for Baby card.
*Favors were Clothespin Babies that are magnets and will hold the announcement on the fridge when it arrives .

*The M wreath is a styrofoam wreath tied with pieces of scrap fabric. The M is a wooden letter with scrapbook paper stuck to the face of it.
*Pennant cake topper is made of 2 paper straws, baker’s twine, and scrapbook paper.  Letters were made on a Silhouette cutter.
*Cake is from Ganache Bake Shoppe.
*Nole Baby carving is courtesy of my husband.
*Paper lanterns were super easy!
*The chalkboard frames are courtesy of Willow Tree Frames and will be put in the baby’s nursery.
*M&M Pretzel Treats are super easy and I was able to coordinate them with the colors.
*We drafted the baby’s birthday thanks to a friend who works for CBS Sports.
*Baby Maggie banner was made with baker’s twine, fabric, scrapbook paper, and a Silhouette cutter.

*We played beer pong and had a bottle chugging contest to keep the guys entertained 🙂
*The hostesses are in the bottom left corner below 😀

Kamron {Lake Nona Senior 2013} | Lake Nona Senior Photographer

I have to say that I was a tad nervous to photograph a male high school senior.  You just never know how into these shoots they’re going to be.  Are they just doing it for mom?  I had a great time with Kamron.  He’s a starting basketball player and does a little bowling on the side…..surprise picture for mom at the end of the post :).  He had great outfits and was such a good sport.

Oh, Avery.  Such a little peanut.  So bendy and squishy.  She arrived several weeks early and was under 6 pounds at her session.  She was an awesome little model and I barely saw her eyes the entire time.  Newborns are hands down my favorite to work with.  I’m so grateful to be able to capture these images for parents because these little babies grow up so darn fast.
