This session was a long time coming. So much planning and thought went into it. I wanted it to be perfect. I’ve known Lisa for 10 years. We actually met online (before we were both photographers) and have always lived a plane ride away. Somehow, we’ve managed to see each other at least once a year, sometimes more. I was thrilled {and maybe even a little nervous} when she decided to escape snowy New York and come to (too) warm Florida so I could take her maternity pictures in early December. The only thing missing was her husband, but that couldn’t be helped. Everything came together perfectly from her dress to hair and makeup to the location and the gorgeous sunset. She looked AMAZING!! The rest of the images were just a bonus. We did a few in studio and also executed this vision I’ve had of a pregnant woman in a stream. I love it when clients are up for anything! This shoot really made me love maternity sessions. I remember when I used to be terrified of them! A huge thank you to my friend Robyn for assisting at both shoots. She was such a time saver, a huge help, and a great spotter for that stream shot. I could do a whole post on behind the scenes images that highlight her…. maybe I will! In 7 weeks I get to go visit Lisa (and maybe some snow!) and meet her sweet baby girl. And of course take some newborn pictures! Lisa is an amazing photographer up in Syracuse, NY. Check her out at Lisa Rossi Photography.
