These two soon-to-be-parents are some of my closest friends. \u00a0The journey to a baby has been a very long and emotional one. \u00a0They are doing a birth mom adoption for those wondering why she doesn’t look pregnant :). \u00a0They are so ready to be parents and this baby girl is going to be so loved! \u00a0Myself along with 2 others threw a couples shower for them. \u00a0We wanted to make it special and tried to put a lot of thought and detail into everything. \u00a0We used the colors in the baby’s nursery, purple and turquoise. \u00a0We were so happy with everything once it was all pulled together. \u00a0It was a special day and we are all so ready for baby Maggie to arrive!<\/p>\n

The shower was not a surprise, but all of the details were. \u00a0Here is their reaction to the scene.

\n*The title of the invitation (Bootie Call) was so appropriate for our college friends crowd.
\n*We served drinks in mason jars with duct tape name tags, baker’s twine, and paper straws.
\n*The Guest Book was a children’s board book that everyone wrote in with a sharpie.
\n*We each filled out a Wishes for Baby card.
\n*Favors were Clothespin Babies<\/a> that are magnets and will hold the announcement on the fridge when it arrives .<\/p>\n

\n*The M wreath is a styrofoam wreath tied with pieces of scrap fabric. The M is a wooden letter with scrapbook paper stuck to the face of it.
\n*Pennant cake topper is made of 2 paper straws, baker’s twine, and scrapbook paper. \u00a0Letters were made on a Silhouette cutter.
\n*Cake is from Ganache Bake Shoppe<\/a>.
\n*Nole Baby carving is courtesy of my husband.
\n*Paper lanterns<\/a> were super easy!
\n*The chalkboard frames are courtesy of Willow Tree Frames<\/a> and will be put in the baby’s nursery.
\n*M&M Pretzel Treats<\/a> are super easy and I was able to coordinate them with the colors.
\n*We drafted the baby’s birthday thanks to a friend who works for CBS Sports.
\n*Baby Maggie banner was made with baker’s twine, fabric, scrapbook paper, and a Silhouette cutter.<\/p>\n
